Where The Mind Rests

This painting was created as a meditation on inner stillness - a psychological landscape rather than a physical place. The garden, softly dissolving into colour and light, represents a liminal space within the psyche where thought slows and awareness becomes gentle.

The flowing water symbolises emotional continuity and renewal, while the fountain acts as a quiet centre - a point of return amid movement. Blurred edges and layered hues evoke memory, intuition, and the subconscious, allowing the scene to feel remembered rather than observed.

This work reflects the process of inward retreat: a necessary pause where the unconscious is allowed to surface without resistance. It was painted as an invitation to rest within oneself, and to trust the restorative intelligence of stillness.
