Passion

Passion is a visceral exploration of intensity in its raw, unfiltered form. Built through dense layers of heavily textured red, the surface holds movement, resistance, and release - each mark carrying the residue of feeling rather than representation. The colour is not decorative; it is elemental. It evokes blood, fire, desire, devotion, and sacrifice, existing somewhere between creation and combustion.

The physicality of the paint is essential to the work. The texture invites closeness, asking the viewer not just to see, but to feel - to sense the weight, friction, and urgency embedded in the surface. Light shifts across the raised forms, revealing depth that changes with distance and time, much like passion itself: never static, never resolved.

I painted Passion as an offering to intensity - the force that drives love, faith, creativity, and transformation. It is a reminder that passion is not always gentle or beautiful, but it is honest. It consumes, refines, and ultimately reveals what lies beneath restraint.
